Please support this program by telling your child how important it is to try some or all of the problems. We like to reward the children that put forth an effort.

AR – Take it seriously, we do! Help your child find a great book on their reading level, snuggle up with them at night, or during the day, and read, read, read. Keep track of their points. Be proud of your child. Keep on reading!

Multicultural Studies- 4th Grade: Our Reading series introduces the students to a variety of cultures. Tomas and the Library Lady teaches the students about migrant workers and introduces a few Spanish words for them to learn. Then another story, A Very Important Day, teaches the children about the basic process of becoming a United States citizen, as families from all over the world attend their swearing in ceremony.

Fire Drills, bus evacuations Tornado drills are part of our curriculum.  A safety reminder : Many fire departments encourage people to change the batteries in their smoke detectors when they change their clocks because Daylight Saving Time provides a convenient reminder. "A working smoke detector more than doubles a person's chances of surviving a home fire," says William McNabb of the Troy Fire Department in Michigan . More than 90 percent of homes in the United States have smoke detectors, but one-third are estimated to have dead or missing batteries.
