It also serves students from several schools in the self-contained language and resource language programs. The school population represents approximately twenty different home languages and twelve different native languages.

**Representation and Membership Amendment** as of 6/27/02: The SAC shall replace members who have two or more unexcused consecutive absences. Unexcused absences shall be defined as: no show, and no notification of absence before scheduled meeting or after absence.

ARTICLE IV - Officers

In the event that the chairperson is unable to complete his/her term of office, the secretary will fill the vacancy. Nominations will then be made to fill the secretary's position and voting will take place, as specified in Article VIII. In the event that a member of the council is unable to complete his/her term of membership, a replacement member will be found who will maintain the ethnic, racial and economic diversity of the original council. The replacements shall be for the remainder of the term of the original officer/member.
