After introductions, Erin presented a description of PTA and its purpose for the new members.
Board and Chair Positions
There are a number of parent openings on PTA. Each open position was reviewed and attendees volunteered to fill them.
Fundraising and membership
PTA will have a table to have grandparents sign up for PTA on Grandparents Day, which is scheduled for September 8th. Discussed offering discounts to events such as movie night to PTA members to encourage participation.
Special Events
Mariel Welch and Joanna Welch gave an update on the special events planned for this year. Some ideas are for a Wacky Hat day to raise money for the nurses. Also asked that we suggest a fundraiser to replace the Entertainment Book sale previously done. Working on new vendor for Spring Carnival.
