New board
- After the pledge, Erin introduced the new board.
- Cheryl Kelly, President
- Ann Cherolini, Vice-President
- Erin Thomas, Treasurer
- Stacey Blake, Secretary
- Board members were approved.
- At Open House, the PTA will be introduced via television during the first 15 minutes of Open House on 9/7. Please note that PTA meetings count as volunteer time for ADDitions.
Fundraising and Membership
- Update on Meet Your Teacher: approximately $650 was received from the sale of t-shirts and cookbooks, and $200 was made for the Nurses fund.
- Erin defined the meaning of “homeroom parent” as a parent who would assist in the classroom as well as for class events.
- There will be a membership table at Open House scheduled for September 7th as well as Grandparents’ Day on September 8th. Decision made not to have food for sale at Open House.
VP Report
Ann reviewed the Back to School breakfast for the teachers at Le Peep restaurant. Feedback was positive.
Treasurer’s Report
Names have been changed on the account to reflect the board changes. Affected board members will go to bank on Thursday to update the signature card.
Committee Reports
- Membership – Mandy stated there are 93 members.
- Sally Foster- money and orders due on Sept 8th. Orders will be passed out at Parent/Teacher Conference night on Oct. 11th. Orders will not be accepted after Sept. 15. Notifications will go home on 9/7 and 9/14 as a reminder. Ann will verify orders are correct.
- Special Events - Joanna Welch said there would be a donation box for the Nurses Fund set up for Grandparents Day.
